San Luis Rey Equine Hospital offers the equine community with ambulatory services. We have a high demand for house calls. We continue to grow and adjust accordingly to offer as many options for our clients as we can. We want to make it as convenient as possible to obtain the best medical care for your horses.

Nuclear Scintigraphy
Commonly known as "bone scanning", nuclear scintigraphy is an imaging technique allowing changes in metabolic activity of soft tissue or bone to be visualized. It is one of the most commonly performed nuclear medicine procedures and especially useful in detecting bone inflammation when a lameness is difficult to diagnose.
Ultrasonography
Ultrasonography is a specialized imaging technique used to examine soft tissue. This procedure uses a hand held device, called a transducer, to send and receive high frequency sound waves.
