In the event of an emergency, SLREH is able to help horse, owner and referring veterinarian with specialty diagnostic, medical and surgical assistance. Approximately 20% of horses admitted to our hospital require some level of emergency and critical care.. Senior veterinarians, interns and technicians are available 24-hours a day, 365 days a year. The goal of the emergency team is to get your horse admitted, treated and settled as quickly and professionally as possible. Our in-house lab provides quick, accurate results for many of the tests administered during your horses emergency evaluation.
