Kate grew up in Moorpark, where she enjoyed riding horses and showing in local jumper shows. She completed her undergraduate at UC Davis with a BSc in Animal Science with an emphasis in neurology, physiology and behavior. At Davis, she was a high jumper on the track and field team. She went on to get her DVM at the Ontario Veterinary College in Canada. Her main interests include sports medicine and rehabilitation as well as acupuncture and chiropractics. She enjoys spending time at the beach with her family and beagle and loves to travel around the world.
Zoé is a French and Belgian girl who has had a passion for horses since she was little. She grew up to the contact of horses, making drawings and histories whenever she could not actually touch them. She decided at 5 years old that she would be a vet. She has taken care of her father’s pair of driving horses for the last ten years and of a small Lusitano very keen on dressage for the last two years. They taught her a lot about how horses live, and she tries to get the best of it in her general practice. Zoé has been doing different externships in Canada and France, in private practices or universities hospitals, and graduated lately from the University of Liège. She aims to be a good veterinarian specialized in large animal internal medicine. What she enjoys the most is to learn everyday something new. On her free time, she loves horse riding, reading, running in the wild, spending time with friends or family, baking chocolate cakes to share.
Debora was born in Sao Paulo, one of the largest cities in the world, and horses were not a daily thing for her family. During elementary school she moved to a small town on the country part of the state where she started taking riding lessons and developed a strong passion for horses. She recently graduated from the Federal University of Lavras in Minas Gerais, Brazil. Debora’s primary interests include surgery, emergencies, and general equine practice. When not in the hospital, she enjoys traveling and being immersed in new cultures. She also likes to play sports, read, play guitar, try new cooking recipes and most of all spend time with loved ones.
Mackenzie is a graduate of the University of Missouri’s College of Veterinary Medicine where she also earned a Masters of Public Health as part of the dual degree DVM/MPH program. During veterinary school, she was the 2016-2017 SCAAEP Secretary. Originally from Oregon, she attended Harvard University for undergrad where she majored in Latin American Studies with a minor in Global Health. Before attending veterinary school she worked for an Arabian showing and breeding farm, and as a veterinary assistant in Arizona. Mackenzie has an interest in surgery, emergency medicine, and sports medicine/rehabilitation. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, cooking, traveling, and running.
Antoinette Terlinden, DMV
Antoinette was born and raised in Brussels, Belgium. She developed a strong interest for Veterinary Medicine early on and recently graduated from the Université de Liège in 2018. She externed in many different countries to experience different aspects of Veterinary Medicine fostering a more specific interest for equine orthopedics, sports medicine and rehabilitation. In her free time she enjoys riding horses, reading, playing the harmonica, swimming, running, and spending time with friends and family.
